Help offset our cost by donating "white" products that the hospice house uses on a daily basis.
 

Here are some ideas: toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, 13 gallon trash bags, kleenex, bleach, baby wipes, light bulbs (40,60,75 watt & 50 watt flood), paper plates, paper bowls, crackers, coffee creamer, filters & sweetener, white towels & washcloths, grits. And liquid detergent.
 

Drop items off and take a tour of the Hospice House or you may also drop off items at Champagne Jewelers (by hobby lobby), Aldersgate Methodist Church (Robert Rd), Gardner Realtors (Gause Blvd by Fatty's),  Patriot Title (Pontchartrain Dr), Goodyear (2120 Gause Blvd), Superior Tire- Goodyear (Covington), and Benedict's Plantation (Mandeville)

Crawfish Cookoff

Our Largest Event of the year!

The Hospice Foundation of the South’s signature event! This event is a huge part of our budget supporting the Hospice House. Every April the HFOS hosts the Crawfish Cook-Off.  The largest one day event on the Northshore boasts Over 40,000 pounds of crawfish. Crawfish are boiled by 60 teams competing for the title of “Best Crawfish in St. Tammany Parish”.  Celebrity judges as well as the teams  themselves decide the winners. 4 Locally well-known bands entertain the crowds of 7000 plus people every year. The admission includes all the crawfish you can eat and the concert event.

Beverages and other food available for purchase.

Proceeds directly benefit The Hospice Foundation of the South’s Hospice House. The first and only hospice house in St. Tammany Parish.

Tickets will be available for purchase at all St. Tammany Parish Whitney Banks closer to the event. $30 in advance, $35 at the gate.  Children 12 and under are free. Purchase tickets online at www.CrawfishTickets.com.

Wine and Dine with Hospice * November 7, 2019

The foremost wine tasting on the Northshore!


Select Brands was looking for a partner to host this event on the Northshore and when our previous Executive Director heard the news, she was all on board!  Dwayne and Charlene Shockley have been awesome partners with the HFOS since before the first event.  They also participate in the Crawfish Cook-Off.


Held at Benedict's Plantation the second Thursday of each November, Select Brands donates over 100 wines that are available to taste.  10 -12 local restaurants share their signature dishes for patrons to taste. A live and silent auction is a part of the event. A trip to wine country in California is typically included in the auction. Raffle tickets for 120 Bottles of wine are also another part of the event. Wines that are tasted that night may be ordered at the event through Acquistapace Supermarket. Tickets are available at Acquistapace Supermarket in Covington, and through the Hospice House


Guest for the wine and dine come from all over the Gulf South to sample the wines at this event.


Tickets are $75 Per Person

We are proud to announce that there is a continuing focus on home brewers!  With such a positive turnout from our home brewers every year, we are happy to have them.


Admission into the event includes all you can drink beer with food available for purchase. General Admission tickets are $25.  Ticket info is located here.
